I crunched the numbers, and it runs exactly 17 minutes and 4 seconds long. Animating process is slowing down due to the current status of my life, pretty fricken busy. Also, I'm like 40% done animating and its already like 10 MB and I'm not planning on lowering the sound or image quality. I have in mind making the big movie into a series. Most likely I'll have a completely put together version of the full movie at my site, and the divided series on Newgorounds or somthing. One of the ideas to divide them up is to split it up to level groups. In other words, evenly dividing it so that each part will run as close as possible (time-wise) as the other. If I were to do that it would end up looking somthing like this:

-IAHT part 1, Halo Levels: (1, 2, and 3)
length: 3 minutes 32 seconds

-IAHT part2, Halo Levels: (4 and 5)
length: 5 minutes 12 seconds

-IAHT part3, Halo Levels: (6, 7, 8, and 9)
length: 4 minutes 18 seconds

-IAHT part4, Halo Level: (10)
length: 4 minutes 36 seconds

That's how the entire series would look, I'm trying to think of the best thing to do. I thought about just submitting it per levels, but i already released the beta which has parts from levels 1 and 2... so it would be kind of lame. Also, I think a few are the levels are just way too short. One of them is between 30 and 40 seconds, that would be quite rediculous to consider dividing it that way. Making it a series would be better off because for the viewer, well, you would get a more consecutive amount of IAHT rather than wait a long time for a big movie. Releasing parts through relatively short periods of time.

If anyone has any idea for another ideas and/or suggestions on this please tell. Also, please let me know what you think about my plan or the idea of splitting it up.

yeah that series idea sounds better, even if you managed to give the filesize lipsuction, no one wants to sit in their computer watching a flash movie for 17 minutes...well actually if it was good they would, but STILL, series sounds better.

i hate split movies for the record. splitting it in parts just takes away from the excitement... i can deal with 1 split but 3 or 4 would be brutal.. i imagine youd lose a chunk of your audience by the end of the second one.

Hm maybe you're right, that's why I really want to think it over. If I do make more than one split I'll try and find the best part to do so, like end in a good satisfying punchline or somthing.

Like the Cheif makes a smart ass coment goes through a door a then the credits roll or something. the next part comes out the next week or something. the comment has to be good though. to be honest, i ike the 4-way split, it give me something to look forward to, also most people who dont really like that, they could just go to your site and watch the whole thing, and a series would get it more...... prestage, as it were.
anyway, looking forward to actually seening it, no matter the format, im not picky like that =P
also, the fast action and humor are just great, its rare to find that nowdays ^ ^

8 1 minute segments would be a bit much. If you do have to split it, why not do it at an appropriate moment? such as two halfs: Before and after flood contact?

mmm, if you split to much the movie you can loose the power of the movie, i think that would be better to split in only 2 parts, that would make the movies longer and you will get higher scores

your opinion is very good on making a series instead of actuley making a movie would be good to actuley host them asap, and keep the ng audience in suspence, if you did bring one out once in a while, you will get fans like me, waiting to watch it, like we have all being waiting so long for this to come out in the first place, bring them out now, and leave people waiting for the next episode, like millions of gamers have being waiting for halo 3, (hail halo 3) and in other way it would be convienient too, because newgrounds servers are slow(sorry about that tom)even people with a fast or descent connection speed have to wait 1 minute for a usual 1.4 mb, so its understanding the convienience of the ng fans with crappy connections, but like wise, keep up the good work, il be waiting for this, have being doing for some time now,

ps, i know how annoying and painstaking flash can be, espiecialy with the detail your supplying, so everyone, like we have being waiting for halo 3, we will patiantly wait for this, yours sinceraly sam mottershead
