I hope one of the less successful animators wins, Waterlollies is god, and Adam Phillips is extremly talented, but he gets oodles of praise anyway.

Yeah, I agree with EXP. Waterlollies is truly amazing and it does deserve that award, but it is unfair to all the less, but not as successful animators to win the award. Anyways once again amazing job on the Press and Punch Collab!
the thing about Adam Phillips is that no matter if he wins the award or not, he knows very well his work is material for awards such as this one. For me, that's the reason why The Sherman should be given to someone not in that state. but then again, it's also hard... cause what will this trophy be given for? Political reasons or who truly deserves it. and if so... who truly deserves it? we have to look at the Movies and not the artists to know exactly who deserves it.

My vote, although it counts for nothing (something I'm thankful for. I love this panel thing way more than letting the NG users decide, because most of us don't know jack shit) goes to Metropolis Circuit. It wasn't the most well animated thing of the year maybe, althought Rtil is a better character animator than Adam, imo, but it grabbed my attention the most.
The best animation was in Aladdin is actually The Lizard from Spiderman. But It was a little absurd for the best of the year I guess. My third place choice is Waterllolies tied with Tomas et la Fraise.

i agree with what you said about the Sherman Awards, but you also have to look at not only the animation aspect, but the contents and story. Tom IS giving a Movie award and not who makes the prettiest stuff. so the best movie has to work as a whole.

(And i say Looeez cause i'm trying to enhance the Spanish pronunciation that i call you by.) And I love you dearly too, being the reason why i kept bugging you to do it and not booting you for another artist. I do have to get you back on saying that it's always awesome to have you on board for a collab.
don't worry about the tank awards, keeping your own politics for yourself tends to be a better idea anyways.
All of them are pretty awesome, but Socklops is my fave for some reason.
