Let's face it. As big as the overall project may be, its easy to leave it in the back of one's mind. It's a small job among many countless obligations and could easily been amissed. If you asked me, you were too leninet with your original timeframe (5 months+1month) and (i'm just off a limb here) but you may not have pester some of your friends enough on the seriousness of the project's deadline. You've probably already experience this with a few of your collaboration projects.
Try this scenario, if a friend borrowed your videotape and simply forgotten to return it. Just how much pestering would you need to get that friend to finally put some effort into finding the video? (This is the in the case if the friend is known to be forgotful) I can only imagine how much more effort is needed for 25 artists.
I'm sure most will get their work in, in due time with some fantastic results. You and many others here shown a great deal of patience and virtuousity but in my opinion, there seemto be a lack of communication and enthusiasm. Good luck to the rest of ya.
