That's a good movie. Very sad though. I live here in SF so this is part of my history. Great movie. Too bad it didn't get any oscars.

I live in Florida, so I've seen some stuff similar to what's going on over there because of the Amendment 2 here. Not as radical, but still some similar stuff.
People don't want to understand that things aren't black and white, that there is a gray area, because the human mind wants to understand and explain everything.
Besides, it sickens me that this subject is an issue, considering marriage was originally a religious institution and not a government one. The government took over it for documentation purposes, and now they're simply flexing muscle. If a man and woman, or a man and a man, or a woman and a woman, or whomever, take the vow of marriage, that is a vow to God and/or eachother (depending on your religious beliefs), not the country.

true but marriage has become an affiliation with the government. And outside of god's realm i think any two people should be able to not only share their life but financial life as well.
