well, kiddo, they actually asked me to animate for Zim recently for a revival season. I refused because I'm far too busy with my other project. It's about a mermaid who falls in love with a wizard. Nickelodeon keeps offering me money for it, but I don't know if I want to give anyone the rights to it. I've been writing the story since I was like 10.
hehe
that was simple, yet effective. i guess the advice i can give it is to make an icon for the submission.
oh. yeah. lol thanks.
Interesting
Very interesting concept for the story. But I honestly have to say the cinematography, pacing, choice of shots and sound editing could have been a lot better. I know I'm sounding real nit picky right now but the idea of a western mixed with a surreal after life is very interesting. and since westerns are a really well known for of cinema, would have been interesting if you played around with that with the visuals as well and the sound. like a western movie using like "psychadellic" music of something. my point is it would be cool if the next time you focus on making it feel more like a movie with editing, timing, shot placement, sound editing and such. instead of just going for another "anime" look.
but honestly, this is an extremely good start for a series. very well done.

For someone who's made notable comments on the state of videogame parodies, it suprises me that you weren't more receptive to this. As for the pacing, I guess we can't all be in your face - can't think because it's going too fast - crazy like I dunno.... the awesome series? Glad you at least somewhat enjoyed it though, and thanks for the review. Much appreciated.
Just great!
Seriousely, i see this series heading for a great direction. I guess the only thing is, i would have preferred a planet earth in the moon sky drawn. but oh well... still works fine.

btw: .....first
baaaahahah u got second. thanks for the review.
Yeah that's just so creative.
seriously, it's easy to get inspiration from somthing but not recreate it. you however have used the same technique as my animation invasion and made it your own new thing. This submission is so great and well done. and your style is just the perfect amount of simplicity.
good job alex
Thanks, Hans, you are quite an inspiration so it's fantastic to hear your praises.
Much luff <3
Pretty good.
I honestly like the technical step you took with this series. The characters seem to work better with the brush strokes you use. And the pacing in my taste has gotten better as well. My personal favorite scene was in the pitch black, while i was watching the animation ease thing actually came to mind before the characters mentioned it, the timing there was surprisingly good.
This movie actually makes me sad, not in a negative way towards you, but just a personal reason. See, a few years back when i was 14-15 I was drawing some comics about a vampire and his human friend, the relationship between them and even the drawing style slightly resembed the one you have in this series, and it was the only idea i ever concidered animating and submitting it to the NG halloween time. I honestly like halloween very much but haven't made any submissions becaus ei feel that i want to make a good one.
all in all i thought your submission was really good and if i were to be the judge i would definately place this at the top of what i've seen so far for NG halloween.
Thanks, man. A really well-thought out review.
it wasn't funny but
The camera work, editing and lighting were just fucking great i really liked it.
Thanks dude!
oh my gad....
that was a nice little short bit of somthing. totally didn't expect it. great voices and everything.
Haha, Thanks.
Holy crap, I didn't even notice this was Hans Van Harken.
