Hello.

I don't believe Halo and Anime go together well at all. The voice acting s honestly quite weak... I don't like how the models outside of the anime look obviously traced or just too dam close to the original stuff. the contrast of the visual style of everything except for the actual people inside the suits doesn't honestly work too well. And making the characters inside totally un-bad-ass japanese teenagers is kind of not working. the animation itself, like the motions and such is pretty weak and uninteresting. they almost seem humorous when they are running. the lack of animation in some of the tense moments, those typical slide show style displays of the characters standing next to each other while something intense is going on but they somehow don't seem to flinch about it kills that climactic moment at the end.

i know i'm sounding like a total hard ass, obviously, but it just seems like you do have he talent to pull it off but you just don't quite get there. it looks like you just need to put more time into the right places. this is just an honest review, i don't mean to say all those negative pointers just to be a prick. i'm just saying that its kind of interesting making some sort of series like this, kind of how star wars is making its own tv show. so you got some potential material, just needs a good lot more of work.

keep it up, and just keep thinking about improving and improving your work one right after the other.

Interesting

Very interesting concept for the story. But I honestly have to say the cinematography, pacing, choice of shots and sound editing could have been a lot better. I know I'm sounding real nit picky right now but the idea of a western mixed with a surreal after life is very interesting. and since westerns are a really well known for of cinema, would have been interesting if you played around with that with the visuals as well and the sound. like a western movie using like "psychadellic" music of something. my point is it would be cool if the next time you focus on making it feel more like a movie with editing, timing, shot placement, sound editing and such. instead of just going for another "anime" look.

but honestly, this is an extremely good start for a series. very well done.

For someone who's made notable comments on the state of videogame parodies, it suprises me that you weren't more receptive to this. As for the pacing, I guess we can't all be in your face - can't think because it's going too fast - crazy like I dunno.... the awesome series? Glad you at least somewhat enjoyed it though, and thanks for the review. Much appreciated.

read review.

sorry to say this but it was pretty bad. i do give you points for knowing how to make your mediocre animation triumph. just stick some kind of phrase mentioning "art" towards the end. Since people don't really know what art is. They can only consider those who label their work "art" to be art. you feel art, you don't accept a suggestion from it. and if these people need a sentence telling them to accept this piece as art, i am not legally allowed to express my feelings for them.

then again, this is just my opinion.

Just great!

Seriousely, i see this series heading for a great direction. I guess the only thing is, i would have preferred a planet earth in the moon sky drawn. but oh well... still works fine.

baaaahahah u got second. thanks for the review.

really well achieved

i have to say, when you were telling me that you were making a Metal Gear Awesome 2. I wasn't really sure if it'd turn out better than the first. I don't know why i thought that since you obviously know your shit.

I loved how the animation improved a lot. Lot's of the great gestural things turned out to give the cartoon a lot more personality than it already had in the first one.

all around, great work Arin. Keep up your talent!
