you got me super interested!

this is the great start/pitch/trailer. I really like the setup. the narrator (though had bad audio quality) didn't over or under do the delivery. It was paced well and fed the information very well. It didn't hang on any beat too long. And with everything this covered, how much you explained and how much you left a mystery really got my brain cogs turning and wondering where it could go, or what came of all this. Very good job!

From a visual standpoint it was a very unique style. reminds me a bit of edward gory and A series of unfortunate events a bit (that's a good thing). But the paper cutout look, while it seems like it might be too distracting or glaring of a style statement... it didn't. It wasn't distracting and over all gave a nice tone to the movie. You handeled all these things brilliantly. Congrats!

That was awesome man!

and i finally got to see it, not just hear it. good job dude! i like myspace.

Jazza responds:

thanks. yeah that was awkward learning i forced ye both to listen to two minutes of that crap. sorry about that haha. miss ya man!

hahahahahhahaha

wow

wow.

this is great science fiction

that was good and all but...

you really couldn't find the soundtrack to jurassic park? wow. what a way to ruin something that was well animated and pretty funny. i know i'm being real anal about this. but isn't the point of it like a twist on the song? i dunno, felt pretty lazy. it otherwise ruined what could have been awesome.

JoelOnToast responds:

Using parody version of the track was one of the main reasons I made the flash. I never wanted to make it serious, just comical and silly, and thats why it turned out how it did; I made the characters sing and join in with the song, which I wouldn't have been able to do with the actual soundtrack.

this one's great

i love this shit. i'm not a fan of pills. really really good

That was real swell.

Seriously, very VERY good story. very well done. I think the color play didn't always quite work. Interesting idea though. I think it's very well done, very well acted. Maybe one or two lines i think could have been delivered a bit better. But the one main thing it didn't have going for it was the pacing. I think all the pieces were there, but you didn't hang enough on certain moments and you rushed some other jus a tad.

But i really like this piece it was freaking awesome. the simplicity of the story and visuals worked well with each other. congrats!

this IS a religion.

It is ironic how in a world like ours, where everything is combining and borrowing from each other, this is just bringing together the worst of both sides. religion and logic.

Religion is a belief in something that isn't fact, that without proof, something can be real enough for you. Which is a very special thing.

Logic, is connecting the dots between points of proof, and creating an answer out of that process. Which is also a very special thing.

This 'spirit science' has the worst of both. It creates the leap of faith between all these points of proof. Just because you can do that doesn't mean it's actually true. You're abusing faith and you are abusing logic, and worst of all... you're lecturing it as if you're right. As if you've had an immaculate realization. Although, if anything, you've been fucking scammed. intellectually and spiritually. Which is the worst kind of scam.

The punchline is your response to the comment below. to quote you:

"i'm not telling you to join any religion or follow any group. I'm telling you that you're in control, you have the power"

You have the power to believe that THIS is how it all works? That's not power. To conclude my point, I think it's alright to believe whatever you want and to express it.
But if what you are looking for is an answer to why we're here and trying to have other people believe that same answer, then you got it all wrong.

The truth is, if there is an answer out there for us, we're years and years away from it. For now, stop cramming this down people's throats like a homework assignment and stop clouding yourself with arrogance, and giving even more people a reason to be arrogant about something that's absolutely bullshit.

p.s. i give you points for how well constructed your video explanation is. but you're too focused on facts. and facts change all the time, just as much as beliefs. if not, more.

RiverJordan responds:

Hey now, you're leaving out the part where i said

Crazy or amazing? You decide :)

Clearly you've decided. And that's totally cool man! I disagree with you though, i think the answer is right in front of our noses, and we've forgotten it for a long time, and are about to remember.

So i'm gonna keep making this, you don't have to watch my series, and everyone is happy! Kapish?

it was okay.

i liked bits of the art style. but some stuff i dont think didn't quite go together as well as it could have. Like color choice or texture usage. But i liked the over all idea. Although the pacing was a bit off. you held on moments a bit to long and evenly, no matter what the context or rising action was. That's a very typical thing to see though. I mean so much is needed to be considered when making an animation and i've found myself becoming carried away on one thing, and because of that, weakening the rest of my piece.

One BIG suggestion is to find a new "whoosh" sound. That one version of a 'woosh' got really repetitive and you used it for every motion the characters did. especially with that quick, segmented "start-stop" approach to your animation.

I over all enjoyed the piece just trying to mention a couple things that maybe you might want to consider for next time. I hope i helped.

You're a very good animator

It was short and sweet. That was a Ren and Stimpy clip right? Keep up the awesome work!
